This internship is for the position of Exhibition Co-ordinator.
The candidate will be tasked with various responsibilities to ensure that art exhibitions are organized and managed effectively.
This internship program will last for a total of 6 months and the candidate will be compensated R6560 per month.
The program is on a part-time basis and will require 16 hours of the candidate’s time per week.
The workweek will be from Tuesday to Friday, and the candidate will be required to work on one Saturday per month.
The duties and responsibilities of this internship are as follows:
Communicating with artists via WhatsApp, email, or in-person
Ensuring all inventory spreadsheets for the online shop are created and checked
Sizing images for the online exhibition(s)
Staying up-to-date on the exhibition timeline
Ensuring each social exhibition is posted on social media
Uploading all new work to the website
Attending all monthly exhibition openings (this will be the first Saturday of each month, from 10h00 to 12h00)
Reporting to the Bellville Arts Association committee

Requirements
The Arts Association of Belville Internship requires applicants to meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be South African citizens.
Applicants must be Fine Art students or recent graduates.
Applicants must be professional artists/ illustrators.
Applicants must be proficient in MS office.
Applicants must reside in Cape Town or surrounding areas.
Applicants must have their laptops.
