The institute has a job opening for a Qualifications Coordinator within our Student Support department. It is the mission of our student support department to deliver quality, personalized academic supporting services to each individual for a successful and satisfactory academic journey.
A Qualification Coordinator is a highly motivated individual with a passion for customer service that will be responsible for managing the academic health of students and assigned qualifications and pre-empt possible problems by evaluating individual student and class performance, to successfully support them completing their studies with us.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that the student portal is ready for each new intake in terms of subject information.
Create and maintain timetables for the various qualifications which you will be responsible for.
Assigning Lecturers to specific subjects.
Ensure making of assessments were completed by the lectures and submitted within the specified time frame.
Ensure that students studying NQF qualifications are registered on the necessary SETA platforms and results are captured.
Ensure that students create the portfolio of evidence correctly that should be submitted for moderation to the relevant SETA.
Preparation and submission of incident reports to the Student Support Manager to ensure issues are raised and resolved within the 24 hours as per our policy.
Prepare and send through communication on the student portal which includes, but not limited to, announcements, subject related information and general communication.
Load assessments on the student portal.
Assisting with re-registration process of students.
Arranging for additional tutoring or resources where deemed necessary.
Maintaining contact with the students assigned to him/her and judging overall academic health and contentment.
Recognising and noting possible problems in advance and suggesting solutions.
Recognising patterns of problems and pre-empting the problem by providing and managing implementation of solutions.
Be willing to go beyond expectations to ensure students are satisfied.
Work with individuals and provide possible solution to problems they experience in coping with work load and academic pace.
Position Application Requirements:
Grade 12 with full Mathematics.
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or related field on a minimum of a NQF5 level.
2 years’ experience in a position with multiple responsibilities.
Must be fully bi-lingual in both English and Afrikaans.
Above average ability to understand, use and learn new technology.
Advanced understanding of business processes, the analysis and optimization thereof.
Advanced computer and office programs literacy.
